punk rock garage sale @ walters...

i had previously taken my ceramic green duck to a swap meet but ended

up taking him home after no one picked him, even for free...  this

sunday afternoon, i remembered the weekly record sale at walter's >

i was interested in finding some new music and maybe someone would want

my friendly green duck!  i got there early, as i had not yet photographed

walters for my wallflower project (still not done).  i met a really nice

cat and captured some images that i am pleased with >

as i was shooting, i saw bucky and thought, maybe i should just give him

the duck for telling me about the indie/punk garage sale!  i was thrilled!

i went and got it from my car and as i was crossing the street a fella made

a comment, probably about how great my duck was-- wow, bucky was going to

love it! >

i may have been a little more excited than bucky was, but he seemed to like

the duck enough to even try and communicate with it.

many people came and bought CDs and hand printed booklets.  things seemed

to be going well and i assumed that bucky had stashed the duck away for

safe keeping... but my new little friend was trying to tell me something >

i couldn't believe it!  i went back inside to ask bucky about it.  he said

that it must have been a similar duck, but i was pretty sure that it was the

same one.  so, he agreed to take the trash can duck too.  wow, it's a shame

you can't tell how mad i was in this tiny photo, i thought it looked pretty

cool. >

i went back in and noticed all of the great ceiling fans and they even

had a motorized flying pig! >

i found a really great CD and on the way out found a "third" green duck

sitting on the curb.  maybe that's why no one wants one, they're everywhere.

i felt sorry for him and took him home.  i'll either give him to bucky

at next week's sale (to match his other two) or i'll think of something

even better to bring him! >

oh, these patient folks took the photographs that i'm in and here's the

really great CD i bought -- quintron -- naughty organ music, i love it! >

thanks for reading and see you next week!
