"what am i?" item 1: "weather machine"

material/condition: one foot was cracked when found which and has since detached showing the item made of brittle and shimmering metal (heavier than pot metal) which has been thinly bronzed. (see detail below) oxidizing, with no additional patina.

source: galveston, texas

label reads: "...st de... ...ole the... greatest ...ncy... weather conditions... ...ession today.
(symbols)
Richard A. Klein, Inc., Norwood, Mass"

research: symbols do not match traditional seasonal runes, may be
a mfg mistake. ended with a query to
the library of congress. their
records show no history of the mfg company or any entries for that name.
it is possible that this this formerly housed an object (such as a barometer?)

next step: will probably write to a   historical society in town of origin.
