11.12.07 --- while driving we noticed a large disposal container filled with props from a children's theatre... after going through it and finding some goodies... there was a pumpkin, that seemed to NEED a purpose... and immediately an alteration came to mind. later that evening it mysteriously arrived on the doorstep of shaun & carol... at first we were not sure if they received it but alas, we missed a bulletin announcing the pumpkin! it was a very downercow like thing to do... and a nice way to turn non-reimbursed supplies into something spontaneous!

10.13.07 --- currently have two collaborations with phil krieg on display: "voting booth" at the art car museum's the WAR exhibit (which is up until mid-november) and "is that you uncle charlie?" at the lawndale art center's "dia de los muertos" exhibit which is opens october 22nd. click on the fliers for more info. ---
08.06.07 --- going through a massive amount of photos and old work. projects coming up for august and october... working much.

07.16.07 --- last week of DARK MATTER for mildred's umbrella or (click here for a readable flier. i was honored to do the set design and thankful for the support and experience. more photos to come... ---
05.12.07 --- hooray! the bags were not too crumpled, just a little droopy from the art car ball rain storm. some of the hanging paper was mistaken for cheap paper towels... but it seemed to work out. i do think it was the most "devoid of color" artcar, if there was an award for that we'd win for sure! a bit of the lower depths play was still in my mind i suppose: photos here ---

05.01.07 --- it is startling to find pieces of yourself in things that existed before you. i started making postcards again (after more than 4 years) and found it odd that it continued from the same moment i stopped. the drawing above is from 1900, and looks like some of what i've done lately... yet, applied to paper, as i have not had a camera in 2 weeks. so, i'm not breaking any new ground (as usual) just dredging up old forgotten steps. happy mayday!
